We're looking for an entrepreneurial, confident, and resourceful person as our Market Intelligence + Research Analyst Intern & Culture Agent. This internship will combine a course of study with market research projects to give you the experience to support and execute marketing campaigns, enter the career path of a business, marketing, or strategic intelligence specialist, and get started in growth hacking or product management for startups.

The internship is based in Downtown Miami, will be partially remote, and will generally accommodate your schedule. The expected hours per week are a flexible 15-25 for a duration of 12 weeks in total.

The intern will be working within a growing Sales and Marketing department in a startup environment, in a role that requires creativity, data analysis, and the ability to visualize and present your research. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator and must be willing to learn from others and be an expert self-manager. Ready to take on the opportunity?

What you’ll do ... Areas of Impact

  • Perform regular profiling and reporting of prospects and influencers for the sales team
  • Create and update comprehensive industry, competitor and customer models including, but not limited to, market share, growth projections and trends, and market forces
  • Recommend key events and groups for Poprouser to strategically enter markets
  • Research competitor software, financials, marketing, pricing, and sales tactics
  • Identify trends and insights, and receive training that you will implement in your intern tasks and brainstorming
  • Create visualizations to quickly communicate findings and summarize insights
  • Provide market and competitive insights through presentations and reports to the Poprouser Team to allow effective strategic and tactical decision-making and implementation
  • Conduct surveys and use survey tools to collect and organize data, ensuring data quality and completeness

What you’ll need to be successful...


  • Junior or Senior Preferred working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Psychology, Statistics/Mathematics, or related research-oriented degree
  • 3.0 GPA Min (exceptions can be made if clearly communicated as to reason)
  • Have taken at least 9 Cr of related coursework with high passing grade (exceptions can be made if clearly communicated as to reason)
  • Sample works & portfolio may be requested (works provided are the sole property and under the authorship of the applicant)
  • Beyond traditional schooling, the ideal candidate will have an Entrepreneurial Mindset and be ready to contribute to the overall development of the company. Your voice will have an impact here.

Work Experience:

  • 1+ years of marketing and/or research experience (internship, co-op, part/full-time work exp., volunteering etc.) strongly preferred.

Technical Skill: Interns must be able to access a personal computer to communicate and work with a webcam, MS Office Suite, Google Suite, and with the capability to access and create online multimedia (audio, video, Flash).

  • Software: Experience with popular market or business intelligence software is desired: Google Trend, SpyFu, Quantcast, Hubspot, Google Analytics, and/or keyword tools will put you ahead of the game
  • Able, willing, and excited to learn, master, and apply knowledge in new software
  • Be able to maximize the use of all technology available to perform all functions of the role to the needs of the business

  • Strong leadership, communication (oral and written), organizational, and customer service skills.

  • Confidence, skill, and patience to be able to effectively communicate solutions, vision, and values to team members, partners, and client base.
