Contract Role Summary

We're looking for a dynamic, entrepreneurial person as Human Resource Generalist Consultant who is located in the Miami/ metro area, to serve our clients across Miami and Fort Lauderdale needing HR services in:

  • HR Administrative Process Improvement
  • HR Strategic Partnership
  • Talent Recruitment, Retention, + Management
  • Developing Teams, Workplace Culture + Experience
  • Payroll + Compensation Planning
  • People Metrics/Analytics
  • HR + Workplace Compliance

Ideal candidates possess self-discipline, strong intellectual curiosity with the propensity to learn, and tendencies toward thinking through creative and data-driven solutions. We deal with people at their best and worst, so emotional intelligence is also a must! You must be willing to mentor and accept mentorship, and to network periodically. You will have dual roles: as an in-house HR generalist as needed, and as an outbound HR consultant with our clients most of all, and will start off as a part-time Contractor or Temporary role (10 - 25hrs/wk) with potential to be hired into a Part-Time or Full-Time status if there's a fit and mutual desire.

The role can be described as 50% remote work, but on-site work with clients across South Florida and Poprouser team members in bustling Downtown Miami will be required. The HR Generalist reports work directly to the COO and CEO and will collaborate across the internal team. Your work will be critical in assisting to develop the internal organization of Poprouser and serving the needs of clients demanding HR and People Operations services.

What you’ll do ... Your Areas of Impact

  • Learn and execute the following HR software systems: Payroll, ATS, HRIS, Assessments, Project Management, Performance Management, Reporting
  • Partner with clients as needed/required to provide strategic HR guidance to management
  • Work closely with clients' and Poprouser management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
  • Execute "Hire to Fire" processes for clients including sourcing, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and terminating employees
  • Lead or Co-Lead the development of Workforce/Talentforce Planning
  • Audit HR systems and processes and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Develop and coordinate changes regarding HR workflow
  • Contribute to the internal development of Poprouser business and Research & Development (R&D) activities

What you’ll need to be successful... Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is desired
  • Experience in payroll management across several systems, recruiting, employee relations and counseling, and workplace safety management or auditing
  • Strong technical proficiency in collaborative tools such as Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Slack
  • Proficient in investigating, negotiating, and resolving grievances and conflicts, preferably in a multicultural, diverse environment
  • Understanding of HR data and accounting is desired
  • ADP and/or Quickbooks Payroll experience a BIG plus
  • PHR or SHRM Certification a BIG plus
  • Bilingual in English - Spanish required; Portuguese or French nice to have
